In January 2014 Nigeria tightened its already harsh anti-gay laws. The new legislation introduces penalties of up to 14 years in jail for a gay marriage and up to 10 years' imprisonment for membership or encouragement of gay clubs, societies and organisations. LISG member Glory loved dragging up for Sparkle festival, taking part in the LGF's Time to Change art project. In Nigeria, Glory would face a situation of persecution and the threat of severe harm.
